In Sunday’s Gospel story Jesus asked the chief priests and elders for their opinion so he could prove a point. The  rst son in the story, who initially de ed his father, changed his mind and did the right thing. Those whom Jesus was addressing had yet to change their lives, even after hearing John’s message of righteous.
