Begin with the Sign of the Cross
In the name of the and of the Son, and of the Amen. Father, Holy Spirit.
Pray the “Apostles’ Creed” as you hold the cross on your Rosary.
When we pray the “Apostles’ Creed” we are saying the things we believe about God, Jesus,
the Holy Spirit and our Catholic faith. Find this prayer inside the back cover of this book. Learn it by heart.
Color the cross on the next page yellow.
Pray one “Our Father” on the first large bead of the Rosary.
Jesus taught his disciples to pray by teaching them the words to this prayer. Do you know it
by heart?
Color the “Our Father” bead red.

Color these “Hail Mary” beads blue.
Pray one “Glory Be” on the space between the beads.
When we pray the “Glory Be,” we are praising God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy
Spirit.
The Rosary is divided into parts, called Mysteries.
Each part helps us remember something from the life of Jesus, his family and his friends.
We begin each Mystery by saying the “Our Father.”
Color all of the “Our Father” beads red. (Hint! These beads are larger than the others.)
Pray ten “Hail Marys” on the next ten beads.
That is a lot of “Hail Marys.” Use your Rosary beads to help you count them. Color all “Hail Mary” beads blue.
We finish each mystery by praying one “Glory Be” on the space between the beads. At the end of the Rosary we pray the “Hail, Holy Queen.”
Pray three “Hail Marys” on the next three beads.
When we pray the “Hail Mary,” we are honoring Mary with the words of the Angel Gabriel and
